Super belatedly, but dude. This. As of Adler's incredible performance in "Never Been Kissed," I think Karofsky is a really fascinating character of whom I hope to see much more, but he is not Kurt's responsibility. I'm really discomfited by this attitude, in fiction and fandom, that if someone likes you, you somehow owe them something beyond a courteous "thanks but no thanks." And it's especially ick when the one who's attracted is, you know, dangerous.

Also the Kurt-calling-Karofsky-names stuff, amen. Not at all the same. There was some prompt about Kurt realizing he can be a bully too with the way he talks to people, and I was on board with it - he can be very casually cruel to, say, Rachel - until they got around to including Karofsky in the list of people he's bullied. Because dude. I've no doubt "chubby boys who sweat too much" hurt Karofsky's feelings, but there's a huge difference between bullying someone and trying - pretty damn futilely - to defend yourself verbally against someone who is physically and verbally aggressive toward you on a daily basis.
