Sometimes I feel like I'm only drawing so I can color in backgrounds. This is random fanart with setting/colors/idea mostly copied from a picture I came across. An exercise in crazy perspective and weird placement, please consider any and all errors to be filed under "experimentation". Also, Rodney isn't absent, he's just really slow.

Thank you so much! Coloring the water was a lot of fun, I'm glad you find it realistic :D I'd say I feel like diving in too, but I'm currently wearing a sweater and a jacket indoors and just the thought of diving into any water is making me shudder XD

That's just gorgeous. I especially love Teyla's beautiful face peeking over the edge. As others have said, the coloring on the water is fantastic; I really can see its movement in the light.

I ramble when I'm tired

Rodney's clinging to a spindly tree at the top of the cliff, afraid he's going to float up to space, but no, of course not SPACE, but where the air is too thin and hypoxia, hello, been there, didn't enjoy that, because there isn't enough power in this floatation device which he THOUGHT was safety gear for swimming as any sensible person WOULD and they were going to the beach and he just KNEW Ronon was going to toss him in so he cleverly wore the floatation belt and the button got stuck in on when a seabird tried to steal his sandwich and he waved his arms at it and oh, hurry, hurry, he thinks he's losing his grip and...

I'm sure they get him down and turn off the device. Of course, then they've got to climb back down.
