New journal layout and header, stuff and a poll

Spent a lot of time on my new journal header and layout. The header is totally nonsensical, but satisfies my urge for shiny things that have little or no intrinsic value. Or meaning. Or even design sense. That said, look, shiny! ileliberte

Cooked up a storm, made carrot cake, chickpeas with ground beef, scalloped potatoes, bread and collard greens. All this better last me a long time. The carrot cake recipe was really very easy, I'll post it sometime later.

I have not posted any polls in a while, what with bigbang and all, so here's one. It has Sam and Dean on horses (or not), SGA AU idea requests and a whole lot of nonsense.

First, carrot cake is awesome as long as it either doesn't have nuts in it or the nuts are ground so small I can pretend they're not there. ;) And horses! I think they could be out in some hilly part of the west hunting something that requires them to go somewhere that the Impala can't go but would be a prohibitively long walk.

Oh, same here. I don't like nuts in carrot cake much, did not put any in mine either.

Sam and Dean are chasing a fast monster in rough terrain and Dean obviously doesn't want to damage the Impala by attempting to go offroad with it (if it even could), and for some reason there are no offroad vehicles to steal/rent nearby, but horses are available.

Well, I had to look it up in my Latin dictionary because I couldn't remember the proper spelling. So yeah, hahah, terribly hideously rusty Latin. Can barely puzzle through written stuff anymore; spoken Latin is a totally lost cause.

Haha, yes, used a real recipe. No mayo in sight, and plain flour :D It's delicious, though I feel like it would probably be just as good with slightly less oil too. Must experiment...

I am aware that carrot cake exists, but for some reason I cannot bring myself to try it. I think it's the color. ORANGE CAKE. Eeek. I can't eat pumpkin pie either.
