Stuff and a poll of great importance

1) Any time someone prefaces something with "this is an unpopular opinion" in a post, it's pretty certain to have a bajillion comments from people vehemently agreeing with it.
2) If your room is cold enough and you're taking off your fleece jacket in the dark (and maybe if you're me), you can actually see real sparks when the static electricity goes nuts. It's kind of cool. Also, freaky.
3) I think I could have watched CSI Miami for Emily Procter if only the sight of David Caruso did not make me instinctively change channels and the show itself wasn't, well, so bad. In my head Procter totally has the delightful Southern drawl Ainsley Hayes had.
4) I want Meryl Streep to win many awards just so I get to hear her acceptance speeches. She is so delightful.

Exactly!
Although, I totally did not preface it as an unpopular opinion. It was more like...Newton seeing the apple falling and saying "woah! Gravity!!1!" even though so many people before him had noted apples falling as well. And yes, I did just compare myself to Newton, wanna make something of it?

1. SO TRUE.

2. That happens here in the winter whether the room is cold or warm. Blue sparks! Pretty! But slightly painful.

3. ALSO TRUE. Actually, I liked her, and the characters Delko and Ryan (before Ryan became a slimy twip, which was fairly quickly); but I COULD NOT STAND Caruso. And the show also is pretty bad. But mostly CARUSO OMG AUGH *stbz*

Okay, so for my Steampunk!SPN idea I imagined something with weird, visually interesting gadgets that help them hunt the supernatural, in particular demons, instead of relying on ritual and symbols, kind of a slight SF slant to the horror, but still kind of gothic?

And for the SGA roleversal one, my idea would be John & Rodney from a more advanced Pegasus planet, so they could have kept their jobs mostly, maybe them as part of Sateda's defense? (though I guess maybe the Genii could work also) And then Ronon and Teyla as part of the expedition met up with them somehow, maybe it's even AU enough that Sateda hasn't fallen and the picture could be set there? Anyway a team picture.

Unrelated, (since the bite field was short also) I try to avoid getting bitten. The goat ambushed me in a petting zoo when I wasn little and I think ostly it tried to eat me get to the feed I had, so I was kind of overrun and nibbled on. Otherwise I've only been bitten by boring animals, i.e. my father's previous cranky cat, by bugs, and by a pet rat that had babies and wasn't tame yet and thought I had nefarious intentions towards the little ones.

2) Heh. Also when the kitty visits me in the early early morning hours and I pet him in bed he's all sparky with static electricity. (He doesn't want love as much in the winter for some reason....:)

Hehe, yeah, happened with the cats in my house too. I have taken to wandering around everywhere with my keys in my hand and touching everything metallic with it first. That at least reduces the zap to just a vague tickle.

I actually wanted to say: Teyla as the bodyguard of socialite!John, with Rodney his harried PA, and Ronon as his PR guy. And, of course, the Wraith Mafia are after John, so Teyla must kick ass.
