Stuff and a poll of great importance

1) Any time someone prefaces something with "this is an unpopular opinion" in a post, it's pretty certain to have a bajillion comments from people vehemently agreeing with it.
2) If your room is cold enough and you're taking off your fleece jacket in the dark (and maybe if you're me), you can actually see real sparks when the static electricity goes nuts. It's kind of cool. Also, freaky.
3) I think I could have watched CSI Miami for Emily Procter if only the sight of David Caruso did not make me instinctively change channels and the show itself wasn't, well, so bad. In my head Procter totally has the delightful Southern drawl Ainsley Hayes had.
4) I want Meryl Streep to win many awards just so I get to hear her acceptance speeches. She is so delightful.

Why are the input fields for AU scenarios so short??

I kind of forgot to change the defaults :/ Just comment with your ideas if you have more detailed ones :D I'm guessing yours will be pretty good since I ended up doing your Cthulhu one.

Okay, so for my Steampunk!SPN idea I imagined something with weird, visually interesting gadgets that help them hunt the supernatural, in particular demons, instead of relying on ritual and symbols, kind of a slight SF slant to the horror, but still kind of gothic?

And for the SGA roleversal one, my idea would be John & Rodney from a more advanced Pegasus planet, so they could have kept their jobs mostly, maybe them as part of Sateda's defense? (though I guess maybe the Genii could work also) And then Ronon and Teyla as part of the expedition met up with them somehow, maybe it's even AU enough that Sateda hasn't fallen and the picture could be set there? Anyway a team picture.

Unrelated, (since the bite field was short also) I try to avoid getting bitten. The goat ambushed me in a petting zoo when I wasn little and I think ostly it tried to eat me get to the feed I had, so I was kind of overrun and nibbled on. Otherwise I've only been bitten by boring animals, i.e. my father's previous cranky cat, by bugs, and by a pet rat that had babies and wasn't tame yet and thought I had nefarious intentions towards the little ones.
