It sounds cheesy, but every time I look out an airplane window, it makes me love the world. That people built something so amazing as an airplane, and how gorgeous the landscapes of light are when flying over cities at night, and how much sky there is all around you.
Bought volume 19 of Ultimate Spiderman. Still in love with the art and I like the writing too. Anyone have recommendations for cool comic icon comms/journals/posts? Artwork style maybe sort of like the icon I'm using for this post. Female superheros/icons especially welcome, but anything good, really.
ETA:
miss_porcupine is twisting my arm to confess that I confused Nightcrawler and Nightwing when trying to re-find the icon I used above. And that she laughed at me. In my defense, both names start with Night and both have something blue going on :/
Completely unrelatedly, my grocery store sells pillows.
ETA2: The problems I have with Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl" song are the lyrics, with the annoyance only being compounded by the fact that I really like the beats and the tune and love her voice. Apparently some other band made a cover of it with gender reversed lyrics, but as far as I could see, it was pretty much the same problem. Not sure why people are going gaga over it when they seem to hate Perry's original? What am I supposedly missing here?
