Things that have very little to do with each other (in bullet points for easy skippability):
• So, uh, my junior year Econ professor was on the news yesterday. Getting sentenced to a jail term for beating his wife to death. He was an awful teacher, and if the crime had been less horrific, I would probably have some jokes about it, but I'm just going o_O
• Speaking of jail, the 20 dollar bill I tried to use at the grocery store on Monday was rejected for being counterfeit. No, I am not typing out my message from a jail cell, I was actually even allowed to take the bill back and return it to housemate (who'd paid me for some overdue bills with it). I think it might just be that it's a 1995 series bill, very old, and also rather grungy, and the store just couldn't take/recognize a really old bill, but that was kind of a freaky moment.
• Marines doing the cha-cha slide :D Link yanked from
miss_porcupine's latest post.
• If I don't find any videos on a website called "Funny or Die" to actually be funny, does that mean someone dies?
• Oh look! Videos and polls showing how Obama's supporters are all stupid! Woah, flashbacks to videos and polls trying to "prove" how stupid all of Bush's supporters are/how stupid Americans in general are/any polls and discussions on how stupid that particular section of people you personally don't agree with are. So very enlightening and not at all unscientific!
P.S: This is not an invitation to tell me how stupid you really do think any side of the political spectrum is. I believe that everyone has the innate capability of extreme stupidity, it just manifests in different ways.
• Genevieve Cortese's take on Ruby here (some spoilers, not a lot of specifics for future episodes though). I though it was interesting to see where she's coming from with regards to how differently she's playing Ruby.
• Every time I type in the html code for a bullet point (&bull) it seems like a judgment of my entry. Harsh, html, very harsh.
