I mentioned a while back that the Sherlock Holmes movie gave me ideas, but I wasn't still totally into Holmes fanart, so this is the culmination of my fascination with the costumes and Watson's sword-cane and Teyla being Teyla.

She looks wonderful! I love the stripes on her big green ruffles/ribbons. The bright green highlights shows how shiny and smooth the fabric is. And her stern expression! It looks like she'll use her umbrella to hit anyone that messes with her.

(And re Holmes... what I really want is to read a story called something like: "The Grand, Wicked, and Varied Adventures of Miss Irene Adler". Irene would wear magnificent clothes when she's herself, a wide variety of costumes, and go steal stuff, romance people, spy, and occasionally visit her brilliant-but-unfortunate ex-boyfriend herlock, who is still carrying a ridiculous torch for her.)

I can only echo what everyone above has said. This is gorgeous artwork! Teyla's expression is perfect, as is her posture, and that over-the-shoulder glance is just breathtaking. Wow.
