Omg, look, an art post! I refuse to let this year end with a weird almost two month hiatus. So, art, with more coming soon.

Title: Another day, another planet
Rating: G
Team, clouds and silhouettes...basically, nothing particularly different from my usual.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] miss_porcupine for linking me to the amazing image that was the inspiration for this landscape/sky. Mine is but a pale copy.

SGA today, and *drumroll for new fandom* Glee art soon! 2010 is not over yet, dammit.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it :) And thank you for the encouragement, I'm still baffled at how much I adore the show even though I find parts of it so...un-adorable sometimes. Heh.

It's okay to find parts of Glee un-adorable. Seriously, I exist in that state most of the time I watch it. My antidote: I go to You Tube and watch interviews with the cast. They are deliriously happy which makes me go back and look at the show and mutter, "Do right by these people, Ryan Murphy. You don't get a cast like that everyday."

Yeah, part of my adoration really is because the cast just seems to get along so well together. Did you see the Golden Globe nomination interview with Chris Colfer where Lea Mitchell just glomps him from behind? It was so fricking cute. And part of it is because I think that Kurt's story is interesting and mostly well told. Now if the writers wouldn't be so horrifyingly dense about, oh, so many other things...

I did and they are so cute. All of them. It almost makes my teeth hurt but at the same time, I love that they are just like that and I want to see them enjoy it as much as possible for as long as they can. Fannish deities, MAKE IT SO!

And part of it is because I think that Kurt's story is interesting and mostly well told.

Mostly is probably the best assessment. On one hand, I appreciate it but on the other, there's the part of me that has tons of sympathy for Karofsky. I know I'm looking at all of this through my now-adult eyes but I remember when I came out and the guys who I'd see when I went to the bars. The jocks who I knew went to my school (I went to school in Texas, and that's where I came out. Yeah, good times), who would be out on a Saturday night but come Monday would stroll around campus with a girl on their arm. The guys who are fastracked into hypermasculinity at a very early age and god forbid if they are any other way. I don't excuse the bully but I understand him and I'm sad for him.

Kurt's story in many ways is easier to digest for the audience but at the same time, I find myself wishing for the gay kid who went to martial arts classes in his spare time.

And we won't get into my long standing wishes for a better story line for Mercedes...

Now if the writers wouldn't be so horrifyingly dense about, oh, so many other things...

Yes, I have the same issues... I either want to hug it or slap it most of the time...
