Supernatural day! and some music

It's THURSDAY! To celebrate Supernatural day, and me waking up before 9:00 after a long time, here's some music. Both are composed by A.R.Rahman and are from the movie Lagaan.

Ghanan ghanan (Ghanan->word derived from Ghana meaning clouds) This celebrates the coming of the rain after a long dry spell. It's a very festive sort of song, if you search on youtube, the video is probably kind of happymaking as well.

Chale Chalo (Loosely translated as "let's get going") This is the 'getting ready to fight' song, calling on hidden resources and uniting against the common enemy. It's fast paced, strong beats and generally just a cool mix of things.

This movie is one of my favorites and I have watched it six times. No, I'm not kidding. It has good subtitles and apart from one ridiculous line near the end, I recommend it highly to people who have any interest in Indian movies even if you know nothing at all about cricket.

I've heard of that movie; it's been so long that I don't remember specifically what I heard, but the gist was that it's a fantastic movie. Hmm, wonder if Netflix carries it...

Oh nice songs. Thank you! I quite like the other song by A.R. Rahman, Nadhiye, that you posted earlier, so I am all yay for these. :)

I shall have to check out that movie. I adore Indian movies, but they can be such a pain to find here. Easier now with the sucess of Monsoon Wedding though.

No problem, I'll upload more gradually, glad you liked :) A.R.Rahman is my hero *worships* If you're interested in older ones I'd posted, just use the music tag, the older links should still work...I think. I highly recommend Bombay.

You can probably get the movie on netflix if you use that service.
