CTS oh no? Plus Reboot!Trek art meanderings

My right wrist feels slightly wonky and the little random sparks I felt in my right hand and arm yesterday seemed suspiciously close to the symptoms of carpal tunnel that I read about D: Have bought wrist splint for work at home or for the night etc. and am taking other precautions so hopefully that will be enough. Do not want CTS D:D:D:

In other news, am drawing Uhura in a salwar suit and Kirk in a sherwani. Because putting Teyla in a lehenga or manipping poor John into a fancy sherwani was apparently not enough to sate my desire to make pretty people wear Indian clothes. It's like I'm not even trying to do any serious/dramatic Star trek art with any kind of interesting and/or well researched premise. It's all sap and random clothing. Please tell me someone's writing a bigbang with Spock/Uhura/Kirk so I can actually do something with the three of them and a hint of plot.

My lunch consists of injera and cherry tomatoes. Why doesn't all bread taste like injera?

Tell me something interesting you guys! Or maybe suggest some ideas for more Reboot!Trek art? Oh, and maybe point out a good icon with Spock, Uhura and Kirk in it? Am lacking an icon for my ST posts. (I know, I know, I'm so demanding!)

Haha, ok, I guess it isn't really a bad thing. I just feel like maybe I need to be a little more srs bzns sometimes to balance out the fluffiness just so I'm not all schmoop all the time when it comes to artwork, but I guess I just need to own up to myself that I'm at least 95% schmoopiness XD

You do that! I thoroughly enjoy the schmoopiness, and srs business is overrated anyway. :D

I'm right-handed and I'm using the computer mouse with my left, so as to avoid some of the strain for my right. I suppose it's also a good way to train coordination. It took me only about a week to get used to it, and by now I'm so comfortable with it that on other people's computers I move the mouse to the left immediately because it's easier.

Yeah, I seem to be getting the hang of mousing with my left hand though drawing is still a right-handed thing. My supervisor just gave me a trackball mouse to work with, lets see if that helps at all.

Re the icons - have you tried putting 3 of your art icons (Spock+Uhura+Kirk+"OTP" icons eg) together in one of those simple GIF animations? I'm technologically challenged with that sort of thing, but used this website to make one once:
