Art: SGA vs Cthulhu, or, The Mission They Wished They Hadn't Gone On

So, this is my attempt at a mini comic for SGA. ratcreature had mentioned a (long) while back about SGA coming across Cthulhu and this was what came of it. Rodney's first page ramble is courtesy of rageprufrock and all the dialog that sucks is mine. I have been working on this for away too long *posts and goes to collapse into bed*










(My ego is generally large enough to not give lame disclaimers like this, but seriously, I am not a writer and I have stared at this thing so long that the only thing I can think of is that all the words suck completely. In which case, please just enjoy the art, especially the last piece </lameness>)

*blinks* That is so terrifically awesome I'm not even sure what to say. It's a small thing, but Ronon's look of, "Seriously? No, seriously?" at the happy birds, in particular, just cracks me up. That is exactly how that would go down, too. *nods*

Also, I kind of wonder if there's some magic that will make that last panel work as a background on my laptop, because the idea of Cthulhu constantly waving menacingly/pleasantly at the Team O'Goofs from the confines of my screen fills me with unholy glee.

I feel like I should make a macro of Cthulu: Y HELO THAR.

Ronon and the birds. RONON AND THE BIRDS. And I love how, behind Rodney, you can see a butterfly resting on the tip of Teyla's finger. Hee! I nearly expected them to all break out into song! (Except for the bit where your title mentioned Cthulu.)

But all of it is of the awesome, and the last panel is fantastic.

I kind of love how cute the wee Cthulhu is, and how in the last panel it's all "yeah, I TOTALLY psyched you out with that Disney planet, didn't I. *pleased*"

The script is great, and the art is fantastic, and I really especially love the last panel -- so moody, and the non-comic-y gritty texture is really cool. Great job!
