So, this is my attempt at a mini comic for SGA. [livejournal.com profile] ratcreature had mentioned a (long) while back about SGA coming across Cthulhu and this was what came of it. Rodney's first page ramble is courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock and all the dialog that sucks is mine. I have been working on this for away too long *posts and goes to collapse into bed*

(My ego is generally large enough to not give lame disclaimers like this, but seriously, I am not a writer and I have stared at this thing so long that the only thing I can think of is that all the words suck completely. In which case, please just enjoy the art, especially the last piece </lameness>)

Thank you so much :) I don't know how you do it, I had to spend so long on this and it's so short. Drawing is all well and good, trying to put it together with plot and words, man, way harder.

Yeah, when I started out with comics each page took ages. But once you get some routine, it goes a lot faster.

Oh wow, while typing this I remembered my first comic page... I think I must've spent a whole *month* on it, on and off.

By now I've gotten so used to think in terms of comic storytelling that that seems to become my gut approach to illustration, sort of. I've started to sketch a little scene with Keller, and found it frustrating because the scene is asking for a closeup and a wide shot at the same time. So I'm thinking of doing it comic-style instead. I mean, it's fanart. I can do what I want!
